The 63rd National Awards for films were announced on 28th March by the Information and Broadcasting ministr.
The National Film Awards are presented in three categories: feature films, non-feature films and best writing on cinema. The awards are administered by the Indian government's Directorate of Film Festivals, which also manages the International Film Festival of India and the Indian Panorama.
