Delhi government will spend 25 per cent of its annual budget on the education sector, taking major steps towards quality education by focusing on training programmes and physical infrastructure.
Mr Sisodia, who also holds finance and education portfolios, will present the 2016-17 Budget in the Delhi Assembly in March.
In the 2015-16 Budget, the AAP government had allocated Rs. 9,836 crore for the education sector out of which Rs. 4,570 crore was given under the plan outlay, an increase of around 106 per cent.
Make in India week: Maharashtra signs over Rs 6,00,000-crore MoUs
The Maharashtra government under Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has signed over Rs 6,00,000-crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 2,400 companies.
Make in India week has been scheduled from February 13 to February 18.

Hubli-Ankola railway line in Karnataka
Decks have been cleared for the controversial Hubli-Ankola railway line, cutting across the eco-sensitive Western Ghats in Karnataka, with the National Green Tribunal giving its nod to Railways to approach the state government.
The controversy in the present case relates to conversion of forest land to a non-forest activity (construction of broad gauge railway line) for which total land of 965 hectares falling in Dharwad, Yellapur and Karwar forest divisions in Karnataka was required.
Make in India Ambassador
Rasna chairman Piruz Khambatta has been named ambassador of the government's 'Make in India' initiative by the Government of India.
Rasna said it will support entrepreneurs who wish to come up with turnkey plant to manufacture food products which it would market under its own brand on a contract manufacturing basis, in addition to fostering and mentoring startups as part of the Make in India initiatives.
St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy
Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis on 14 February 2016 won the 2016 St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy in St. Petersburg, Russia.
To win the title, the top-seeded Indo-Swiss pair defeated the Russian-Czech team of Vera Dushevina and Barbora Krejcikova by 6-3 6-1 in the women’s doubles final.
For the duo, the victory in the final was consequent 40 match win. Also, the title was the fourth in the 2016 season and the 13th overall.
